SPMetc (http://spmetc.cias.rit.edu) is a student run website designed to connect prospective and current students, faculty and staff, and alumni with what is going on in the School of Print Media. The site offers users the chance to preview our organizations, guest speakers and presentations, and activities that go on at RIT. The SPMetc news team includes Editor-in-Chief, Elli Vandegrift, a second year student majoring in New Media Publishing; Web Developer Alex Mouganis, a third year Graphic Media major; writer Sean Conklin, a second year New Media Publishing/Cultural Resource Studies Double Major; and writers Steve Mancini, Adam Sampedro, and Sam Shaffer, all second year New Media Publishing majors. The site development is advised by three School of Print Media professors: Christine Heusner, Michael Riordan, and Matt Bernius. The staff members are all involved with various organizations and groups, and through the site, hope to give all who view an inside look at the School of Print Media.

Look for the SPMetc teams at the ImagineRIT festival in the School of Print Media Office in Artistic Alley. The team will be showing off its newly developed website as well as taking interviews with passersby and creating live video uploads to the site. They will also be featuring the creation of motion comic strips that take an everyday person and place them in the life of an online newspaper comic character.
