Reuniting and Reminiscing

The Invictas jammed for an hour and a half at the RIT Alumni Fest on Saturday with three of the four original members from RIT; local cover band, 50/50, opened the show.

Changes with the NTIDAA

The National Technical Institute of the Deaf Alumni Association (NTIDAA) met Saturday morning to discuss and vote on the newly proposed bylaws. The bylaws were revised to allow for the NTIDAA and the RIT Alumni Association to work in closer relation and to provide opportunity for both organizations. The new bylaws were accepted with seven in favor and none opposed.

A Night of Remembering

The RIT Presidents Alumni Ball, held Friday night at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, entertained over 600 alumni for an evening of dinner, dancing, honoring special award winners and celebrating their RIT spirit; the event also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Henrietta campus and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

At this year’s annual Alumni Awards Night, it was quite a sight to see so many RIT alumni reuniting at the Rochester Country Club, one of the oldest county clubs in the nation. Each year the School of Hospitality and Service Management holds the event, congratulating alumni in their professional accomplishments within RIT’s longest-standing alumni group of 24 years.

Alumni Share How RIT Continues to Help

Alumni from all over the United States were reunited this afternoon and talked of new family additions and the latest life achievements. Not long after alumni were able to reunite with old friends, Director of the School of Hospitality and Service Management, Dr. Francis Demoy, introduced nine alumni to current students of the department.
