Men's hockey beats Holy Cross; Staves off elimination

The RIT men’s hockey team staved off elimination on Saturday with a 6-4 win over Holy Cross in game two of the best-of-three quarterfinal series of the 2009 Atlantic Hockey Association Tournament. The win gives RIT their 22nd win of the season, a Division I school record. The Tigers have not been swept in a weekend series this season.

The #2 seed RIT men’s hockey team came into game one of the best-of-three quarterfinal round with a 10-game Division I winning streak versus Holy Cross. The Tigers had beaten the Crusaders four times in the regular season and eliminated Holy Cross in the quarterfinals last season. That all ended tonight as RIT fell to Holy Cross 5-3 to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Brick City Wraps Up With 5k Run & Walk

No one could have asked for a more beautiful morning Sunday. As the sun continued to rise, a large group of people was gathering at Grace Watson Hall to begin RIT’s 5th annual Brick City 5k Run and Walk.

CIAS Golf Outing

The horn sounded at 10 a.m. on Friday morning at Shadow Pines Golf Course in Penfield and signaled the tee off for the third annual golf tournament hosted by the College of Computer Imaging Arts and Science (CIAS).
