Abdulrahman was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. While attending Al-Aqsa school in Jeddah, He developed a passion for New Media. Today, He is a 4th year Graphic Media publishing student at RIT's College of Imaging Arts and Sciences.

During his time at RIT, Abdul strives to combine his experience with web development, his interest in publishing, and his enthusiasm in Free open source software to contribute tools and ideas to further benefit the publishing industry. As a student researcher and a project manger at the RIT Open Publishing Lab, Abdul enjoys studying how new media impacts the way we communicate and express ourselves.

Abdul has devoted the remainder of his time at RIT to studying Digital output systems, automated workflows, Variable Data Printing, Web Development, Content and Digital Assets Management and strategic planning. In addition to his work with the OPL, Abdul is a lab assistant at the Digital Publishing Lab at the School of Print Media.
